October 2012 Honda and Acura Sales Stats

We had two Acura Legends, and now have just one. The 1992 developed a leaking head gasket at some point which eventually would lead to radiator failure. The leak was slight and would tend only to overpressurize the cooling system. After 3 replacement radiators and 180,000 miles we decided not to have the $2500 worth of work done to replace the gaskets and let the car go on trade. Not real happy with its longevity. On the other hand, our 1990 Legend which we have owned since 1993 now has 242,500 miles and burns no oil. Steering is tight, shifts are crisp. Hope it runs another few years. I am religious about the maintenance which is why the 1992 Legend was such a disappointment. I hear the second generation Legends were bad about head gaskets. Win some, lose some, I guess.
