The story is a familiar one to you: highway miles, regular oil changes (I do my own), does not use oil (Castrol from the get-go), 3rd set of tires (Michelins now), hardware has been problematic (liftback latch and power window problems, the blower fan just gave out, have not missed it, yet), internals have not been touched, garaged, Eibach coil overs (mostly done for the stance issue), adult driven (I am on Medicare, nuff said and, despite my vanity plates, driven sedately indeed). Photo taken on a trip to South Dakota.

I change the oil every 3,000 miles, and the timing belt and water pump every 90,000. The garage didn't know what a "300,000" mile check up should include!

I love it and if I ever get another it will be of a higher spec e.g. leather seats, A/C and electric windows... Will always love my Civic I have now though. I hope to celebrate my 100,000 mile mark with you and all the guys who love their Honda's as much as I do.

02/7/12 - Kevin wrote: I have a 1997 Honda CR-V with over 342,000 miles. I use it as my daily driver for work. Oil changes every 5000 miles. It carries around 500 lbs of tools in my travels around three states and still getting 25 mpg.

02/3/12 - Chad wrote: My 2007 Accord EX-L just hit 100,000 on yesterday. Just breaking it in! Looking forward to going 300k+

02/1/12 - Shajil wrote: I have a 1995 Acura Integra Special Edition with 225k. No modifications, everything original.

01/28/12 - Neal wrote: I am the original owner of a 2001 Acura MDX which now has 196,000 miles. Rebuilt transmission at about 120,000. Regular oil changes. I plan to drive it to 232,000 miles which is the closest distance between earth and moon during Apogee.

01/27/12 - Wayne wrote: I have a 98 Odyssey with 336,000 miles. Still has original engine, transmission, and exhaust. Cat converter replaced at 280k. Still has original rotors never turned, ball joints, interior (cloth) with no holes or tears. Original white paint still looks great. Has original ignition wires because it still runs perfect not because I'm too cheap; just want to see how long they last. I adjusted the valves for the first time at 335k. A few exhaust valves were only .001 loose, the others were at spec. Just had it aligned for the second time. It looks, runs, drives, and rides great. Best vehicle I ever saw.

01/23/12 - Vincent wrote: I am the second owner of a 2001 Honda Accord LX, 5 speed. Bought the car 3 years ago with about 120,000 miles on it and have since accummulated 180,000 trouble free miles. Always maintained by Honda. Co-workers and Honda service advisors always comment on its condition. I never hesitate to drive it anywhere, during the holiday season of 2011, I put 4000 miles on it in December alone. Oil changed and kept on driving! Honda can't be beat!

01/23/12 - Ed wrote: I have a 1990 Honda Civic DX which I bought new. Just turned 365,890 miles today. Original engine 1.5L. It uses about 1 quart of oil every 3000 miles. Still getting 46 MPG in the summer and 38 MPG in the winter. This is on the highway at 55 to 60 MPH. It's not expensive to maintain because most parts a have been replaced with parts with lifetime warranties. Not sure how much longer it will last.

01/23/12 - Gerald wrote: I have a 1998 Acura RL with 385,974 miles. It's my daily driver.

01/23/12 - Bob wrote: Bought my 1999 Honda Civic new and have 170K. I do oil changes every 3k and timing belt, water pump and other belts at 100k. Live in Dallas, TX and drove it to southern CA many time across desert south west and never had a problem. Have replaced pads and rotors in front a couple of times. I have been thinking how long does the fuel pump last - I noticed from others comments there have been no fuel pump changes, I guess Im safe?

01/19/12 - Sharon wrote: I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX which has 270000 miles on it. I change the oil every 3000 miles and the timing belt every 100000 miles and I swear it runs better than the day that I first bought it.

I am planning to drive it for a while and treat is as a project car. Future plans of swaping a H22A engine into it. This one is a keeper. They certainly don't build them like they used to.

I am a Honda Enthusiast - our household has an 02 S2000, 02 Acura RL and 11 CRV :)

01/9/12 - Mike wrote: I bought my 1996 Honda Civic EX Coupe with 101,000 miles in May 2006 while I was in college. I needed some cheap reliable transportation and was thinking I would "upgrade" to something else in a few years. Almost 6 years later I just rolled 170,000 miles (mostly local stop and go driving plus road trips through 11 states) and have found no reason for any "upgrade". I reviewed my maintenance records, besides wear items (oil and fluid changes, one set of front brake pads, one set of tires) the only major work was a radiator, 2 front axles, a muffler and rear trailing arm bushings. That means most everything else is original and 16 years old, not bad. There are no major oil leaks from the engine or transaxle. So with low maintenance and repair costs, fuel mileage between 32-40 mpg, affordable insurance, etc. it has been an unbelievably affordable vehicle to own. On top of all that, the car looks great inside and out, paint still shines, interior barely shows wear and no rattles, not like a 16 year old beater at all, that alone is amazing. The Civic is a well engineered, well built vehicle that I'm very happy to own.

01/8/12 - Samuel wrote: I purchased a 1987 Honda Prelude DX in 1999 when it had 138k on the clock and today it has more than 246k I had to purchase a 1993 Prelude Si while working and fixing an electrical and carb problem on the 87... The 93 is my low milage car purchased in 2008 with 64k and today more than 74k. Both are five speeds unmolested OEM with no rust thanks to my hot dry dust cactus state of AZ.

01/7/12 - Joe wrote: I have a 2005 Honda Accord EX 4cyl vtec with 206,420 miles. Changed front and rear brake pads twice and rear rotors once. Bridgestone Turanza serenity H tires with over 100,000 filled with Nitrogen. Spark plugs changed once, oil change every 3000 to 7000 miles. Drove to CA 3 times.

01/6/12 - Luke wrote: I own a 2002 Honda Accord Special Edition. It now has 523,000 km's and seriously runs like new. Just drove it across Canada this past summer without a single issue. Everything is original on it.

01/4/12 - Marty wrote: I have had several Acura automobiles, starting in the mid-80s in PA with an Acura Legend sedan, and then in 1989 an Acura Legend coupe in CA. Both great cars, only thing I ever had to replace was a single front headlamp, inexpensive and easy. Bought a 2004 Acura TSX in CA, have driven it over 155,000 miles. No problems except the A/C compressor has failed, twice, once at 57,000, and now at 155,000. Well 155,000 miles and only 2 compressors, maybe I should not complain. I like the look of the new Acura TSX, so maybe I will just trade the 2004 in for a new, or newer pre-owned TSX.

12/30/11 - Dave wrote: I bought my '77 Accord new in late 1976 in SoCal. I now live in Oregon and still drive it, though the driving load is currently shared by my '89 Legend and a recently acquired '86 Accord.

But my first love, my first NEW car was the '77 Accord. It now has 319.5K miles and as you can see is still in pretty decent shape for its years. Unfortunately, I really don't have room for 3 cars and a motorcycle, so I'll be selling him soon.

12/27/11 - Michael wrote: I have a 2003 Accord EX with Acura V-6 and 6 speed manual - just turned 280,000 miles - original clutch and exhaust system - replaced alternator, radiator, tires, struts (at time of purchase lifetime warranty from local supplier) - gets the same mileage as the day it left the dealer - assembled in Japan - wonder if this makes a difference?

12/25/11 - Zack wrote: We bought "H", our 2000 Honda Civic DX hatchback brand new. She now has over 235,000 miles on her and still runs like new! We have replaced a couple timing belts/waterpumps, new tires, one or two sets of front brake pads, and some new belts as maintenance. The only non-maintenance repair was an O2 sensor at around 200k and a window crank that stripped when I forced the window open when it was iced shut. The car is still on the original clutch. This car has been bullet-proof!! We run Mobil 1 synthetic and change it every 5k or so, but nothing special other than that. We plan on running her until she drops!

12/24/11 - Tim wrote: I am the original owner of a 1995 Honda Civic DX. It turned 300,000 in April of this year. It now has 310,000. It continues to run well with great fuel economy.
